Facebook Messenger Gets instant video sharing and playback

Facebook has updated its Messenger app for iOS and Android with new multimedia features. Now you can record and share 15 seconds video messages from the camera within the app. This is similar to the instant photo feature added back in April.

messengerBy default it will open the front camera to capture 15 seconds selfie video. For this, just tap on camera icon to open the camera. Choose whether you want to record a selfie or regular video and then tap and hold on send button to start recording. Release the button to stop recording and send the video message.

Other notable addition is the bigger like. If you really like something, you can send bigger thumbs up like. Press and hold to send an bigger thumbs up.

Update is now available for iOS and Android. You can update your messenger app to get these new features.
