Apple announces Swift, a new programming language for iOS

At WWDC, Apple announced a new programming language called Swift. This new language will replace the Objective C as the iOS development language for building iOS apps.

“we’ve used Objective-C for 20 years, and we love it. But we wondered what we could do without the baggage of C,” Craig Federighi announced.

He also confirmed that Swift code and C code can be live together in the single apps. So, developers can upgrade their app gradually to this languages.

There are many changes in Swift from Objective C. Now developers will have to write less ode to get apps up and running. It is also fasted that Objective C apps. So, your apps are going to be faster by over 93x.

Objective C was always a hard for new developers. Lets see how Swift will be for developers.
