Snapdeal has expanded its same day delivery to more cities in India. This was initially launched back in January for 2 cities: Delhi and Gurgaon. Now, it is available to 15 Indian cities.
This same day delivery service is called as “Snapdeal Plus.” Under this delivery offer, Snapdeal tries to deliver product as soon as possible. For few locations, it tries to deliver the product in as less as 2 hours time. By the end of the year, this service will be available to 30 Indian cities.
Snapdeal has not mentioned the cost for this delivery. When it was announced earlier this year, it was launched at no extra cost. If we talk about other rivals, Flipkart charges an extra Rs. 140 for same day delivery and Amazon.on charges Rs. 149 for same day delivery. Other online retailers also have similar kind of same day delivery options.
Snapdeal has an interesting hourny of 6 years in Indian e-commerce market. Last week, it also reaised $100 million which valued the company as $1 Billion.
