Shop On Amazon Via Twitter

Amazon has partnered with Twitter to let users shop through micro-blogging website. Now users can add a product to their Amazon.com “Shopping Cart” just by adding hashtag #AmazonCart in the tweet. So, you can shop without leaving your Twitter feed.

For using this feature, users will have to connect their Amazon.com account with their Twitter account. To add the product to shopping cart, tweet the item’s link with #AmazonCart hash tag. You will also receive the reply tweet from @MyAmazon about the status of your request. Later users can order the items added in shopping cart when you visit Amazon.com.

The only think I hate is the automated reply of tweet. This reply will be visible to people who will see your timeline even if your account is set to private. So, you will end up sharing your shopping history on Twitter.

It is a different kind of approach but I have doubt on the success of this step in India. In India, people are not casual shopper. People do lots of research before purchasing an item.
