Today, Motorola announced its much awaited budget phone Moto E. This smartphone will be available in India via Flipkart for Rs. 6,999. This smartphone comes with powerful hardware specifications only for just Rs. 6,999.

Few months back, Motorola came back in India with its mid-range smartphone Moto G. Moto G was a big success for the company. This is the reason, company made available Moto E in India on the launch day. Motorola’s Vice President Punit Soni said,”Moto G is the best selling smartphone in Motorola’s history.”

Both devices come with similar screen sizes with only 0.2 inches difference. But big difference is that Moto E has qHD display with 226ppi. But Moto G has 720p display with 326ppi.

Processor

This is the main difference in both the smartphones. Moto G is powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core SoC. But Moto E comes with Snapdragon 200 dual-core SoC.

RAM and Storage

Moto G is packed with 1 GB RAM and comes in 8 GB/16 GB storage models. Moto E also has 1 GB RAM. But it comes with 4 GB internal storage. While Moto G lacks microSD card slot, Moto E has a microSD card slot to expand storage.

OS

Both smartphone has Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. Motorola also confirmed that all future Android updates will be available to Moto E.

Camera

Moto G has a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 1.3 megapixel front camera. Moto E also has a 5 megapixel rear camera but lacks flash and front camera.

Battery

Moto G is packed with 2070 mAh battery but Moto E has a 1980 mAh battery. Battery of Moto G lasts for a day in normal usage. We cannot say much about Moto E without testing its battery backup.
