Microsoft has announced that its latest gaming console Xbox One will be available in India in September this year. More information will be revealed by the end of April. Console has already been available unofficially for price around Rs. 50,000 or more.

Xbox One

For past few months we have also been hearing the buzz that Xbox One may come later this year around Diwali. The reason behind the delay is the less availability of local content. Microsoft has been trying to bring local content along with international content in India and other Asian countries. Localised content will help Microsoft to beat PlayStation 4 that does not offer any local entertainment channels.
Sources also confirms that box One will also let you watch CableTV and will work with most of DTH service providers.

Pricing details are unknown but Microsoft will try to keep it around the price of PlayStation 4. PlayStation 4 is available in country for ‎Rs. 39,990. Pricing will also be a very important factor. If Microsoft follows aggressive pricing strategy, XBox One may come for around Rs.50,000. At this price, it wouldn’t get success. Pricing is always an important factor in India.
