Google has just announced the price cut of its Google Drive subscription. New prices will surely put pressure on other cloud storage rivals including Dropbox, OneDrive and others.

Now for 100 GB storage, you only need to pay $1.99 per month (older price was $4.99). 1TB storage option is slashed from $49.99 to $40. Google is also offering 10TB storage only for $99.99.

” Today, thanks to a number of recent infrastructure improvements, we’re able to make it more affordable for you to keep everything safe and easy to reach on any device, from anywhere,” Google said.

If we compare prices from other rivals, Microsoft offers 50GB storage for $4.49 and 200GB for $11.49. Dropbox offers 100 GB for $9.99 and 200GB for $19.99. If we compare it with the pricing of other rivals, Google is now offering very cheap data storage plans. It will surely attract more users to Google’s cloud storage service.

Google also offers 15 GB storage for free for using with Gmail, Google+ Photos and Google Drive. This free storage can be used with any of these services.
