Dong Nguyen has decided to remove Flappy Bird from iOS and Google Play despite the fact that the game had become very much popular and topped the list of popular iOS and Android games. Not only this, the game earned a revenue of $50,000 a day for its creator through in-game ads.
The news came on Saturday when Dong Nguyen tweeted that he will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down because he cannot take this anymore. It seems that Dong doesn’t enjoy much popularity.
I am sorry ‘Flappy Bird’ users, 22 hours from now, I will take ‘Flappy Bird’ down. I cannot take this anymore.

Dong Nguyen had also been in legal trouble because of sudden popularity of Flappy Bird, which some people call the worst game for smartphone. Dong is alleged to have popularize the game by using fake accounts. However, he says that this decision of taking down the game has nothing to do with the legal issues.
It is not anything related to legal issues. I just cannot keep it anymore.

For those who seem to be interested in buying the game, he denied saying “I don’t sell games, please don’t ask”.
I also don’t sell ‘Flappy Bird’, please don’t ask.

And I still make games.

Flappy Bird is a game that has addicted people. The players have to tap the screen which makes the yellow bird jump and fall. Objective is to make the bird go as far as possible without hitting the green pipes. Seems quite easy, right? Well, that is not the case. The game is challenging and difficult.
Surely iOS and Android users are going to miss the game.
