Micromax announced its first dual boot Android and Windows 8.1 tablet named Micromax Canvas LapTab at Consumer Electronics Show 2014. At the time of announcement, Micromax didn’t talk about pricing. Now, If we believe PTI reports the tablet will cost under 500$ or Rs. 30,000 when it launches in India sometime in Q1 2014.
Micromax Co-founder Rahul Sharma said, “The Laptab will be priced under $500 for the Indian market and we expect to sell about 100,000 units in the domestic market in the first half of 2014.”
Talking about the features, Micromax Canvas LapTab comes with a 10.1 inch IPS touch screen display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution. It runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and Windows 8.1 mobile OS. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Intel Celeron N2805 processor. It is packed with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GB. It features a 2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calls. It comes with wi-fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It is packed with 7400 mAh battery for longer work.
