Google Confirms it Will Shut Down Schemer on February 7

Now it is confirmed that Google is shutting down goal sharing service Schemer. It will no longer available after February 7. Users data will also be deleted after the date. Schemer iOS app has already been pulled from App store.

“Schemer launched in beta over a year ago to help inspire and motivate people to do more awesome stuff, and though the app is shutting down, the adventures will continue. You can use the “Explore” section on Google Maps for Android and iOS to find interesting things to do around you, or Field Trip to uncover hidden or unique things in your city, among others,” Schemer posted in Google+.

If you use Schemer, You have less than a month to take backup of your Schemes. Follow these steps to take back of your schemes.

  • Sign in to Schemer.com using your Google Account.
  • Select ‘Email me my schemes’ at the top of page.
  • Within 24 hours, you will receive your schemes in CSV and HTML format.

Schemer was launched back in December 2011 as a goal sharing app. It lets users discover new things to do.
