These dual USB pendrives have a full size USB and a microUSB connectors. By using MicroUSB connector, you can connect it with smartphone and tablets. Use full size USB connector to connect it with laptop or desktop. You can also connect the device in smartphone and laptop at the same time. In this way, you can easily transfer data from smartphone to desktop or desktop to smartphone. Transfers can go both ways.

Sony has also released a file manager app compatible with this pendrive. The app is available to download for free from Google Play. You can use this app to search photos, videos and music files.

This new drive will support Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or higher. It will also work on Mac and Windows based systems. This will not support iOS devices.

Price of the 8GB, 16GB and 32GB storage size pendrives are $19.99, $29.99 and $62.99, respectively. There is no information about the India launch of these pendrives. Sony said that these pendrives will be available globally in January 2014. So, we can expect it to be available in India too.

This is not the first time when a company has launched a dual USB pendrive for smartphone and desktops both. Back in July, IBall has also launched Hybrid Dual PenDrive starting for Rs. 599 which is lower than the price of Sony’s dual pendrives.
