In just 24 hours, Sony has sold more than 1 million units of its next generation gaming console PlayStation 4. This is a new record for the PlayStation brand.

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed the numbers in Twitter.

 

“PS4 was designed with an unwavering commitment to gamers, and we are thrilled that consumer reaction has been so phenomenal,” said Andrew House, President and Group CEO, Sony Computer Entertainment, Inc. “Sales remain very strong in North America, and we expect continued enthusiasm as we launch the PlayStation 4 in Europe and Latin America on November 29. We are extremely grateful for the passion of PlayStation fans and thank them for their continued support.”

These figures are restricted to US & Canada only.ย When Sony will launch PlayStation 4 in other European countries, these sales numbers will grow fast.

Although, Sony’s PS 4 is successful but consumers are facing problem with it. ON Amazon, 40% people have rated it with one-star review complaining of hardware failure.
