Facebook has has rolled out the updated version of messenger app for Android and iOS. This update brings new look and feel, new features and redesigned logo.
Most notable feature of the app is to massage anyone who are not Facebook friends but in phone contacts. If you have verified your phone number, others will be able to look you up via your phone number.
Now, app works faster and feels much more like SMS or texting. You can now clearly see which of your friends is available to chat. It is easier to navigate throughout the app.
“For the mobile-to-mobile experience, it’s important that we’re fast, reliable and dependable,” Facebook product manager Peter Martinazzi said.
Other things which you can do within the includes Sending photos privately, Record voice messages, share your location, make free calls (available only for US and Canada) and see who is available for chat.
Users can download the updated version of iOS app from the App Store, and the Android version from Google Play.
