Today, Apple has revealed the fifth generation Apple tablet. This new tablet is dubbed as iPad Air. It is the world’s lightest full size tablet. Along with the new iPad, Apple has also revealed revamped ipad Mini with better display.

New iPad Air is only 7.5mm think(25% thinner than previous iPad) and weighs 450 grams.

New iPad Air is powered by A7 processor used in iPhone 5S. It is 8 times faster than first generation iPad. It is also packed with M7 motion coprocessor that makes device smarter. It has a 9.7 inch display with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution.

It has a 5-megapixel iSight camera and a 1080p FaceTime front camera. It also has dual Mics for video chats. It supports new standards of 802.11ac which makes it twice faster than ipad 4 on Wi-Fi. It offers 10 hours of battery backup.

“iPad created an entirely new mobile computing experience, and the new iPad Air is another big leap ahead. It is so thin, light and powerful, once you hold one in your hand you will understand what a tremendous advancement this is,” Apple vice president Phil Schiller said.

It will be available in black, white, silver and space grey colors. It is priced at $499 for basic version. Wifi + Cellular version starts at $629. It will be available from November 1.
