Twitter’s Vine has reached to another milestone with the announcement of 40 million user base. This short video sharing website is growing faster than expectation. When Instagram announced videos, people thought that it would affect Vine’s growth. But Instagram has not hurt enough and the numbers are pretty impressive.
If you could remember, Vine had announced 13 million users back in June. Vine announced the milestone in a tweet.
We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again: this community – now more than 40 million of you – is amazing. Thank you for inspiring us.

It is clear that launch of Vine for Android platform played key role in the growth of the app. Rapid increase in users is the result of Android users addition. But, it is worth to note that Vine has announced the registered number of users. We cannot say how many of them use the app daily or monthly basis. May be after the launch of Instagram videos, users started ignoring this app.
If we compare Vine with Instagram, Instagram has 130 million active users. Instagram announced these number back in July with the launch of video features.
