Google has finally announced its new service called Android Device Manager. This new service aims to help Android owners track their lost Android smartphones. There are many similar kind of third party apps are already available in Google Play Store, but official App makes more sense.

With this new Android device manager app, you can keep your device and data safe. If you lost your phone in room and not able to find it, Android device manager can ring your phone even if your phone was in silent mode. In case you dropped the phone somewhere else, you can locate the device on Map in real time.

“Have you ever lost your phone in between the couch cushions or forgot it in a restaurant? Or maybe searching for your phone before you rush out the door is part of your morning routine? Later this month, the new Android Device Manager can help you out. It’s one of a few simple features you can use to keep your device—and the data you store inside—safe and secure,” Official announcement reads.

You can also erase your data quickly from remote location. This prevents your data being used by wrong people.

Android device manager will be available later this month. The app will support Android 2.2 or higher. For using this app, you will have to sign in with your Google Account.
