Samsung has announced a new Android based tablets for kids. This Children based tablet is also called Galaxy Tab 3 Kids. This new tablet comes preloaded with children specific apps and games.
Galaxy Tab 3 Kids is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It has 7 inch display with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. It has both front and rear facing camera. It comes with 8 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It has an easy to grip body and a C pen for drawing. Tablet also has parental control feature for whitelisting of apps. Parents can also set specific time period for use. After use time is expired, it shows a password protected lock screen.
“We saw an opportunity to create a device for kids that provides them with an intuitive, fun and kid-friendly user-experience. Filled with rich, interactive and educational content that parents will love,” JK Shin, the CEO of Samsung Electronics, said in a statement.

Company has yet to reveal the pricing details and expected launch date.
