Pastebin Now Has 1 Million Members

Pastebin lets users post codes, snippet of texts, chat logs and other kind of documents to share online. In recent days, hackers have widely used the website to leak the data of different sources.

Currently, website has more than 26 million active pastes and more than 40,000 pastes are being added daily.

“About a year ago we added the option to create new Pastebin accounts via social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Google which greatly increased the number of daily signups. Month over month we are seeing more traffic records, and we are currently serving about 17 million visitors per month,” said Jeroen Vader, owner of Pastebin.

“For our developers it has been a huge learning curve, but we’ve got a pretty solid platform now that allows for a lot of future growth. Also we’ve had to deal a lot with DDOS attacks over the years, but with the help of some of our users, we’ve got a pretty solid system now to fight those kinda attacks,” he added.

Jeroen Vader also confirmed that they are now working on Pastebin v4.0. This new version will allow users to comment on pastes. He again added that there are some other secret features to add on the websites.

In recent days, after the Showden NSA leak, website is receiving better traffic and more activity.
