Nokia Store Surpasses 2 Billion App Downloads in India

Nokia India has announced a new milestone of its Nokia Stores. Nokia Store has crossed 2 billion downloads of which 1 billion downloads are on S40 and Asha platform. Nokia Store also gets 80 million downloads per month.

Nokia Store app comes pre-installed on all Nokia S40 devices and Asha devices. Nokia has also revealed few impressive stats about Indian developers and their achievements. Over 168 developers have achieved more than 1 million app downloads. In these developers, 3 developers have achieved 100 million downloads and 9 developers have achieved 50 million apps download.

Indiagames, Reliance Games, Rendered Ideas Softgame, Twist Mobile and Hungama Digital Media Entertainment are leading mobile app developer for Nokia platforms.

“We are blown away with the success of Nokia store in India. As a company, we are aware that as consumers evolve, so do their choices and requirements and Nokia has always been at the forefront to deliver experiences that cater to this need. Apps, we believe, are core to this investment,” said Sari Harju, director, mobile phones, Nokia India.

If we talk about global stats, Nokia Store is available in more than 200 countries. In combine, it has achieved more than 10 billion downloads and gets 15 million downloads daily.
