HTC has officially announced a new smartphone HTC Desire 500 in Taiwan. It will join previously launched mid-range smartphones HTC Desire 200, Desire 600. In Taiwan, it will be sold for NT$11,900 (Rs. 23,693) starting tomorrow.
HTC Desire 500 features a 4.5 inches WVGA display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. It is packed with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot to expand storage up to 32 GB. It runs on Android 4.2.2 with HTC Sense 5.0 UI at top.
It features a 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED Flash, BSI sensor and built-in HTC ImageChip. HTC Desire 500 also has a 1.6 megapixel front camera for video calls. It also has NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fib/g/n and DLNA connectivity features. Other features are Beats Audio, 3.5 mm Audio jack and 1800 mAh battery.
