Yahoo has announced the second acquisition of the day by purchasing enterprise conference call service Rondee. Earlier this morning, Yahoo has also acquired GhostBird Software, iOS photography app maker.

Rondee’s staff will join Yahoo’s Small Business Unit, that was planned to shut down. Rondee has also announce that it has been acquired by Yahoo. Rondee will shut down service by the end of July.

Yahoo Acquired Aother Startup Rondee and Shuts It Down

“When we set out to build Rondee, we sought to help as many small businesses as possible become more productive,” Rondee posted on home page, “We’re excited to join Yahoo!’s Small Business team and continue with Yahoo!’s goal of helping small businesses succeed online.”

Rondee was founded in 2006. Rondee is a conference calling system that aims to be “fast, easy, and free.”

We are not sure why Yahoo bought Rondee. May be it will use it as an internet conference solution. Nothing more about the deal has been confirmed by Yahoo or Rondee.
