Sony Xperia M and Xperia M Dual Announced

Sony has announced a new Android smartphone Sony Xperia M. Dual SIM version of this smartphone Sony Xperia M Dual will also be available. It is a mid range smartphone and will join Xperia Miro and Xperia L line-up.

Sony Xperia M features a 4 inch FWVGA display. It is powered by a 1 GHZ dual core Qualcomm processor and runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean. It is packed with 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. It also has a microSD card slot to expand storage. It also features a 5 megapixel camera.

Sony Xperia M dual comes with same features but it will come with Android 4.3 instead of Android 4.1.

“Consumers looking for their first steps into the world of Xperia smartphones, would be well-advised to look at Xperia M or Xperia M dual,” said Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications. “Both models benefit from Sony’s proven innovation and engineering expertise, and are perfect for those who want the premium technology and experiences often only associated with high-end models.”

“The Dual SIM variant Xperia M dual lets users select between two SIMs before making a call or sending a message with just a single click. Each SIM card can also be customised separately – for example, a formal ring for business or another tune for personal use,” Sony noted in a press release.

Both smartphones come with One-touch functions with NFC and screen mirroring. Smartphones are PlayStation certified so you can enjoy gaming on this. It is packed with 1700 mAh battery.

Company has not announced the pricing details but we can expect price around $300- $350. Both smartphones will be available in market worldwide in Q3, 2013.
