MTS has announced a new smartphone in Indian market that called MTS Duet. It is a dual SIM entry level smartphone. It supports GSM + CDMA network connectivity. This smartphone is priced at Rs. 4.799.
If we ignore the CDMA connectivity feature, it has outdated specifications. It is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapgragon 7625A processor. It features a 3.5-inch HVGA display and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It omes with 256 MB RAM and 512 MB internal storage. It also features a 3 megapixel camera at the back of the device.
Connectivity features of the smartphone are Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth v2.1 and USB 2.0. It is packed with 1200 mAh battery.
“The latest in our range of smartphones is MTS Duet. The smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon S1 processor and runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform. Aimed at tech-savvy youth, it comes bundled with aggressive high speed data and voice plans,” MTS India Chief Marketing and Sales officer Leonid Musatov said.
MTS is also offering free local calls and unlimited data service for first two months only for Rs. 599.
