Today, at Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) Apple has launched its new music streaming called iTunes Radio. This new service is the hybrid of Pandora and Songza.
In iTunes Radio, users will be able to create Internet radio stations based on their favorite songs. Apple has also added few “Featured” radio stations. It is free for US users with support of ads. iTunes Match subscribers will get the service ad-free.
The service can access to the entire iTunes library that has more than 26 million tracks. For this new service, Apple has also made deals with major labels and publishers. It will also lets users watch special events including live streams direct from iTunes Festivals and iTunes sessions.
“iTunes Radio is an incredible way to listen to personalized radio stations which have been created just for you,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “It’s the music you love most and the music you’re going to love, and you can easily buy it from the iTunes Store with just one click.”
This service comes with iOS 7 and will be available to all iOS devices running on iOS 7 and iTunes on Mac of PC. Apple TV will also get iTunes Radio.
