Acer Announced New Windows 8 Devices

Acer has announced a series of new devices running on Windows 8 platform. These devices includes 13.3-inch Aspire S7 and 8.1 inch tablet Iconia W3.

Acer Iconia W3 weighs only 1.1 pounds. It is powered by a 1.8 Ghz Intel dual core Atom Z2760 Processor. It is available in two storage models that are 32 GB and 64 GB. It will go on sale from tomorrow starting from $379. Tablet comes with screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It can also play 720p HD videos. Other features are 2 megapixel, Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, USB slots and micro-SD card.

It will also come with full version of office free with tablet.

Acer has also announced Aspire S7 Ultraboook. It comes with 1 TB hard disk and runs on a fourth-generation Intel chip. The new refresh to ultrabook improves battery life, cooling system and enhanced electroluminescent (EL) backlit keyboard. It runs oon Intel Core i7-4500U or i7-4200U processor and 8 GB RAM. It comes with USB 3.0 and HDMI port. It comes with screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 or lower resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.

Acer announced few Windows 8 devices

S7 Ultrabook will go on sale in July for €1,450 in Europe. US pricing of the Ultrabook has not been announced yet.

“The fourth-generation Intel Core processor family represents the most significant battery life capability improvement in Intel history, delivering amazing battery life,” said Acer spokeswoman Erin Davern in an email.

In addition, Acer has also updated 29 laptops and desktops with Intel’s recently announced Core processors code named Haswell.
