Popular video sharing website YouTube us now 8 years old and they are also celebrating their eighth birthday. It was launched back in 2005. So many things has changed but the growth of YouTube remains same. YouTube is now more popular than TV any TV channel.
YouTube turns Eight Years Old

YouTube has more than 1 billion active visitors who come daily to watch news and videos. YouTube also revealed that more than 100 hours of videos are uploaded on YouTube every minute.

“Today, more than 100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute. That’s more than four days of video uploaded each minute! Every month, more than 1 billion people come to YouTube to access news, answer questions and have a little fun. That’s almost one out of every two people on the Internet,” said YouTube.

Google acquired YouTube back on October 9, 2006 for $1.65 billion. At that time, It was he largest acquisition Google ever made. YouTube is still growing and adding more features to help publishers and companies to earn. Few days back, it also added a paid subscription option for channels.

“And so, this Monday, on our eighth birthday, we’d like to thank you for making YouTube the special place that it is. For showing us how video can create connections, transcend borders and make a difference. For clicking these links even if you aren’t sure what they’ll be, but you trust us.
