Nokia has announced another Nokia Asha 501 at global press conference in New Delhi. This is a full touchscreen device that runs on Nokia Asha operating system with Swipe UI.

NOkia Asha 501 features a 3 inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 pixels display. It is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It features 3.2 megapixel camera. It comes with 128 MB internal storage and microsd card for storage expansion. It runs on Nokia Asha OS with Swipe UI. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB 2.0.

Like other Nokia Asha devices, Nokia Asha 501 also comes with 40 free EA games. It is packed with 1200 mAh battery with 17 hours of talktime.

Users will be able to access Nokia app store to download apps. Nokia is also added Nokia Here mapping service in the phone. It also comes with NOkia Xpress browser that claims to minimize data up to 90 percent with server side compression. Other available apps include Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, LinkedIn, Nimbuzz, WeChat, ESPN and the eBuddy messenger.

Nokia has also partnered with Facebook and Airtel. So Airtel users will get free access to Facebook on this mobile phone. It is expected to start shipping in June 2013.
