Google has updated its popular Gmail with new tabbed inbox. This new Gmail inbox organizes your emails in tabs for less overload. You can easily customize the tabs, move emails from one tab to another or add new tabs. This inbox helps you to organize your inbox with easy access to your emails.

By defaults Google shows 4 tabs. One for important emails, one for social updates from Google+, Facebook Twitter, One tab for promotional emails and one tab Updates for your bills or similar emails.

“We get a lot of different types of email: messages from friends, social notifications, deals and offers, confirmations and receipts, and more. All of these emails can compete for our attention and make it harder to focus on the things we need to get done. Sometimes it feels like our inboxes are controlling us, rather than the other way around,” Itamar Gilad, Product Manager said “But it doesn’t have to be that way. Today, Gmail is getting a brand new inbox on desktop and mobile that puts you back in control using simple, easy organization.”

This new inbox is also available for Android, iPhone and ipad users. By default, you will see Primary mail when you open app. You can easily navigate to other tabs.

Google has already started rolling out this new update for desktop and mobile users. This is a gradual roll-out so it may take time to reach your inbox.
