Microsoft Offering 3GB Extra SkyDrive Storage to Students

Microsoft is trying to promote SkyDrive among college students with a new storage offer. Company is offering 3GB extra storage space to students in United States for a year.

If you are a student and want to claim this offer, just visit this page and register with your .edu email address. Once the company verifies your email id, you will receive a unique promo code to extend your SkyDrive storage. This promo code will be valid for one year.

“Voucher valid for an extra 3 GB of free SkyDrive storage for one year. Voucher must be redeemed by 12/31/13. 3 GB storage expires one year from voucher redemption. Limit: one voucher per person. Not redeemable for cash or gift cards. Single use only. This voucher is non-transferable, and may only be redeemed by U.S. college students,” Microsoft explains.

At this moment, company is offering 7 GB storage for free. If you use SkyDrive as online backup service, this is the right time to extend your storage. SkyDrive is a nice online cloud storage service with integration of Microsoft office web apps. It is also available for all desktop and mobile platforms.
