Xbox Live Has over 46 Million Users Worldwide

Microsoft has confirmed that its Xbox Live has now more than 46 Millions users worldwide. If we compare it with the last year’s stats, it is 18% up.

XBox 360 is still getting good sales and is quite popular among gamers. It has many hardcore games to enjoy. Although, many gamers are waiting for next generation gaming console, Xbox 720, Xbox 360 has shown impressive growth.

Microsoft has also sold more than 1.3 million Xbox 360 devices during the last quarter, 9% down from the same quarter of last year. But company has managed to increase 56% revenue of Entertainment and Devices Division to $2.53 billion from the prior year period. Microsoft’s Entertainment and Device Division includes gamers, gaming peripherals, Xbox Live, Mediaroom, Skype and Windows Phone.

Microsoft chief financial officer Peter Klein said of Xbox Live, “Clearly there’s a lot of momentum, and with E3 just around the corner we look forward to showing more shortly.”
