Bing is trying its best to increase its market share in search market. For this, it defaming Google with its new campaign called Scroogle. It also challenged users on Valentines day to breakup with Google. But Bing has to improve its quality along with these marketing campaign. According to new study by AV-TEST, Bing delivers 5 times more malware hosting websites in search than Google. It means using Google is safer than using Bing.

In this research, company has analyzed more than 40 million websites over a period of 18 months. 20 millions of these tested website were shown equally in Bing and Google. Other websites were accessed via less popular search engines called Yandex, Blekko, Faroo, Teoma and Baidu.

Google achieved the best results during the study. Bing was on second but it delivers 5 times more malware hosting websites. Yandex even delivers 1o times more malware hosting websites. These data clearly says that search quality of Google is best and using Google is safest.

Reports says that malware developer now do more effort to deliver their malware. They fist create some blogs or website and optimize it for search engines. Then they get few backlinks and try to get better search engine ranking. When the website is quickest to be found by search engines, they use it to spread their malware.

“The infected websites mostly use malware that exploits existing security vulnerabilities in users’ software. These vulnerabilities normally involve outdated browsers, old add-ons or extensions and out-of-date versions of PDF readers,” report says.
