India’s largest software company Tata Consultancy Services has jumped 29% in 2013 and achieved $5 billion (around Rs.27,500 crore) mark. It has added $1.18 billion over 2012.
TCS has also placed among Big 4 most valuable IT service companies world wide. This report has been published by a London based Brand valuation company Brand Finance.
“The rapid evolution and recognition of our brand at a global level is a testament to the passion and dedication of our more than 260,000 employees, who as ‘brand ambassadors’ continue to ensure an industry leading client experience, which keeps strengthening our reputation and brand in the global market,” N. Chandrasekaran, chief executive officer and managing director of TCS commented on the report.
IBM is ranked at top in BIG 4 with $37.7 billion brand value. Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP) is at second with $16.1 billion and Accenture is at the third place with $9 billion valuation.
If we talk about other IT giants, Cognizant Technology Solutions corporation is at no. 8 place with brand value of $2.23 billion. Infosys is at 9th spot with $2.2 billion and Wipro is at number 10 with $1.904 billion.
“TCS’ strong performance across brand-related activities such as client engagement, community development, sponsorships, and employee satisfaction has earned TCS a place in the elite club of only three AA+ rated IT services brands,” said David Haigh, CEO and founder of Brand Finance, in a press statement.
TCS is growing fast while other Indian IT giant Infosys is struggling. It has poor results in past quarters and hasn’t been able to perform at par with industry expectations.
