Samsung is Samsung is reportedly working on a 5.9 inch smartphone that is expected to launch later this year. This smartphone may also be the next version Galaxy Note. Previously we have heard that Samsung is working on 6.3 inch smartphone, but it seems that a smaller device might actually arrive on shelves before that.

“Samsung is working on introducing a new phablet using a 5.9-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen,” said Samsung executives told The Korea Times today.

This new big screen smartphone will be packed with 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor. This processor was showcased in Consumer Electronics Show held in Las Vegas in January. Although Samsung has showcased few flexible screens, but this smartphone will not have one.

Samsung already has three phablets in market and all three gains much popularity among customer. Galaxy Grand is new so we have not enough data. But Samsung has sold millions of Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2.
