Google has update Google translate app for Android devices that makes it much more useful than ever before. Ever found yourself in a situation when you need to translate but do not have data connection.For these kind of situations, we already have few offline translate apps but none can beat Google Translate. You will be happy to hear that Google Translate app now also support offline translation.

“Today we’re launching offline language packages for Google Translate on Android (2.3 and above) with support for fifty languages, from French and Spanish to Chinese and Arabic,” Google Announced.

You can now select “offline languages” option in app menu and see all languages packs available to download. You need to download all languages pack which you want to use in translation.

Now app can also translate vertical text in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean with your Camera. Back in August, Google translate Google added support for using camera input to translate texts and then added support for translating Chinese, Japanese and Korean in last December.

Offline translate feature is available only for devices running on Android 2.3 and above. App is now available to download from Google Play store for free.
