Samsung to Launch Galaxy Star with Android Jelly Bean

According to few reports, Samsung is going to launch an entry level Android Jelly Bean smartphone soon. This smartphone will be called Samsung Galaxy Star. Nothing about the launch has been disclosed but it is expected to revealed in Mobile World Congress.

Samsung Galaxy Star will feature Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Display and 3 inch QVGA display. It is expected to feature a 1 megapixel camera, 4 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, Bluetooth and GPS. It is expected to be powered by a Spreadtrum CPU coupled with Mali-300 GPU

According to Sammobile, Samsung Galaxy Star will be launched on April 8 2013. It will be to launch to target those markets where low cost mobile has good growth. Samsung is getting tough competition from Micromax in India where Micromax is ruling low cost smartphones market. So we can expect this smartphone in India too.

So far, there is no word about the price and features. We can only believe on rumours and leaks. We will have to wait for MWC that is going to start in few days. There are also rumours that Samsung will hold an event on March 14 to announced Galaxy S4.
