Lava has launched another low cost Android smartphone in it’s A series, Lava Xolo A500 in India. This smartphone is available for INR 6,999 and also available on online retailer Flipkart with “out of stock.”
Previous smartphones in A series were launched with dual core mediaTek processor but this latest version is launched with 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system. It might not receive an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean anytime soon.
Lava Xolo A500 was announced with 4 inch TFT touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixels resolution. It features a 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. Internal storage of the device is also expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. It also features a 5 megapixel camera with flash and video recording. It also has a front VGA camera for video calls.
Connectivity features of the Lava XOlo A500 includes microUSB 2.0, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS receiver. It is also packed with 1500 mAh battery.
