Google has launched a new service called Zavers. Zavers is a digital coupon website that aims to bring shoppers, retailers and manufacturers together on a digital platform. Customers can find coupons
With the increasing use of smartphones, Digital coupon solutions market is going to be bigger in near future. Now customers can save coupons on retailers website directly from the smartphone by scanning, capturing with camera or with QR codes. These coupons will be automatically added in shopper’s account/ during checkout. Google Wallet users benefit from integration of Zavers into the payment processing service.
“Today we’re excited to introduce Zavers by Google—a digital coupon solution that enables retailers and manufacturers to reward loyal customers with coupons that are relevant to them — increasing basket size and redemption rates,” Google said in announcement.
“With Zavers, shoppers find manufacturer discounts on their favorite retailer websites, and save the digital coupons to their accounts. Then they simply shop for those products and check out as usual. Redemption occurs in real time, with savings automatically deducted at checkout when shoppers provide their rewards cards or phone numbers—no scanning or sorting necessary. Manufacturers only pay when a product is moved off the shelf,” Google added
Zavers is result of Google’s older acquisition of Zave Network back in 2010. This platform is beneficial for both retailers and manufactures in many ways. They can monitor data in real time and see how customers are using their coupons.
It is only available for United States users and not for other countries. It is expected to launch in other markets soon.
