Apple has announced another milestone for its App Store. Apple’s App Store has passed 40 billion download marks since launch. This holiday season was good for the company that brings more than 2 million app download in the month of December.
Apple had announced 25 billion download mark back in March and then 35 billion download back in October.
“It has been an incredible year for the iOS developer community,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “Developers have made over seven billion dollars on the App Store, and we continue to invest in providing them with the best ecosystem so they can create the most innovative apps in the world.”

This time, Apple App Store has more than 775,000 apps from which 300,000 apps specifically designed for iPad. This is much more than Apple’s October announcement when there was 700,00 apps with 250,000 apps specific for iPad.
