Yesterday, Twitter has announced that its has now more than 200 million active users. Company announced this milestone in a tweet. This is 42% increase over 9 months.

Back in march when company turned 6 years, it has announced 140 million active users and 340 million active users.

Company did not mention countrywide distribution of users but we already know that majority of users belong to United States.

Twitter crossed 100 million users back in September 20011 with 50 million daily active users. It crossed 140 million users back in March this year. So we can say that the growth is constant and company keeps on moving forward.

Twitter is also changing and adding more features to attract users. There are so many people who still do not know how to use Twitter. But Twitter is really a powerful tool when we want to get live information about anything. Tweets are the best way to know whats going around.
