HTC Butterfly With 5 Inch full-HD Display Officially Unveiled

HTC has unveiled a new smartphone with bigger screen and higher resolution called HTC Butterfly. It comes with 5 inch touch screen display with 440 ppi.

HTC butterfly comes with a 5 inch LCD 3 capacitive touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Its screen is also protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. It runs on Android 4.1 Jelly bean mobile operating system.

“We are confident that HTC Butterfly will set a new example for high-end smartphones,” chief executive Peter Chou said at the launch in Taipei.

It also features a 8 megapixel camera with 1080p video recording along with a 2.1 MP front camera. It comes with 16 GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity features of this smartphone includes 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, NFC, DLNA, Bluetooth 4.0 with USB.

HTC Butterfly is powered by a 2,020 mAh battery.

This 5 inch smartphone will directly fight with Galaxy Note 2 in the market. There are some other smartphone also in the list which will affect the sale of this smartphone. So it will be interesting to see how this smartphone will perform in the market.
