Apple has finally launched iTunes store in India. Now Indian customers having Apple devices can buy books, movies and songs from iTunes India Store with Indian currency. Earlier, Indian users had to pay in dollars to purchase books, music and movies.
In India, Apple iTune Store offers a song priced between Rs. 7 -15 and the album for Rs. 70. In India, now it will compete with websites like Saavn.com and Ganna.com that enables users listen songs online.
“Movie fans can choose from a wide selection of films available for rent or purchase from the iTunes Store, with many available in stunning HD, from major studios including 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, The Walt Disney Studios and Warner Bros. Pictures, as well as leading local distributors,” said the Apple Press Release.
“The iTunes Store has arrived. Now you can shop at the world’s No.1 music store. Which means you can browse and buy songs, albums and films anytime you want,” Apple announced on its iTunes India store.
Movies are priced varies between Rs. 290 to Rs. 500 for SD or HD movies.
