Skype app for Android platform has been updated to version 3.0. This new update brings many performance and interface improvements.

This new app has a new tablet optimized UI that works best on big screen devices. So Tablet users will be able to enjoy video calling in their tablets. For better calling experience, it has improved audio quality with wideband audio codec.

With so many now using tablets to make video and voice calls with Skype, this latest version is optimized to scale to your tablet’s bigger screen, so you can experience Skype on a larger display wherever you go,” Skype announced in a post.

Earlier we updated that Microsoft has killed Windows live Messenger and merged Skype account with Windows account. So, this app has an option to merge your Skype account with your Microsoft account.
