Nokia Introduces a New Way to Share Content Over Bluetooth called ‘Slam’

Today, Nokia has announced a new way of sharing content over Bluetooth. This new technology is called as ‘Slam’. Nokia Asha 205 and Nokia 206 are the first mobile phones to get this features.These phones are launched today in India.

Nokia Introduces Slam

Slam allows users to share multimedia content including photos and videos instantly over bluetooth. Nokia also stated that this technology works on all bluetooth enabled mobile phones with any need to pair devices. Recipient also does not need to have slam to receive the photos and videos. Although company says the it works on all bluetooth mobile phones, Nokia website also notes that Slam is not compatible with Windows Phone and iOS devices. It means Android devices support this new sharing technology.

“The latest Nokia devices give super-social consumers new ways to express their personalities through design, color and innovative new features like Slam,” explains Timo Toikkanen, Executive Vice President, Mobile Phones, Nokia. “Both devices are built with the trust and quality people have come to expect from Nokia, and offer smarter Internet experiences that help save money today and tomorrow.”

Company did not reveal much information about this technology in the press release. We got this much info from the announcement of Nokia Asha 205 and 206. We are trying to get more information of Nokia’s new slam technology.
