Indian mobile phone manufacturer Karbonn Mobile has launched a low cost smartphone Karbonn A5+ in India. This smartphone is available for Rs. 4,900 via online retailer Infibeam.

Karbonn A5+ is powered by a 1 GHz processor and runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. Its internal storage is also expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Nothing about the internal storage has been confirmed by the manufacturer.

It features a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 262k colors. It also features a 3.5 megapixel camera that can also record videos.

connnectivity features of this smartphone includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and HSDPA up to 7.3 mbps. It is also packed with a standard 1,420 mAh Li-Ion battery.

At this price, it comes in competition with Micromax Superfone Punk A44Ninja 3 A57  and Superfone Punk A45. It will be interesting to see how this smartphone will do in Indian market.
