Gmail Finally Beats Hotmail, Becomes Top Email Provider

This new report is prepared from the data collected for the October month. According to it, Gmail tops the list with 287.9 million unique visitors. Hotmail only get 286.2 million visitors in the period of time. Although the gap is too small, but GMail has beaten Hotmail.

It’s still unclear whether the report has added outlook.com numbers or not. Outlook.com is the upgraded version of Hotmail on new domain that was launched few months back.

Yahoo comes at third place with only 281.7 million visitors. But when it comes to US, the statistics are just opposite. In US, yahoo leads leaving behind Gmail and Hotmail both. It means 40.8 percent of online Americans use Yahoo, compared to 36.7% using Gmail and 18.9% using Hotmail.
