Sony Corp has confirmed the data breach of its mobile unit in China and Taiwan. Company said that the hackers have got access to email addresses and names of as many as 400 that was on the server of third party vendor. No other secure information like passwords, credit card details have been breached.

Company spokesman George Boyd confirmed the breach but could not say anything about the source of attack and attacker.

The third party vendor whose server has been leaked was hired by Sony for sales operation and other events in china. Sony’s own server is safe. Sony is trying to identify attackers and ti know what else has been hacked from the server.

Hackers always try to hack into the servers of companies and leak information just to get their name on news. Most of these hackers are college students who have increased the rate of cyber crimes. It is really hard to find out these new hackers because they breach and then go under ground forever. These attacks have also increased the company’s investment in cyber security.
