MTS has unveiled three new Android smartphone with dual SIM (GSM+CDMA) feature. Price of these smartphones ranges from Rs 6000 and Rs. 12000. Users can use any GSM service but CDMA service will be of MTS.
Leonid Musatov, chief marketing and sales officer, MTS India said, “The aims of launching these dual band phones is to address those consumers who want to experience CDMA network without parting ways with their GSM network.”
These smartphones runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating syste, and are upgradable to Jelly Bean. One smartphone features 4 inch screen and other 2 smartphones features 3.5 inch touch screen display.
Smartphone with 4 inch display is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor and priced at Rs. 12000. Other two smartphones are powered by a 800 mHz and 1 GHz Qualcomm processors respectively and are priced at Rs 6,000 and Rs 7,000.
For getting better sale, MTS is also offering three months free MTS to MTS calling and unlimited data usage for three months with 1 GB high speed data cap.
All these smartphones will be available from next months in all retail stores and MTS stores in India.
MTS is trying to capture Android customers with good range of Android smartphones with bundled data offer. It will be interesting to see how these smartphones will perform in the market.
