Sony Xperia Ion now available in India for Rs. 35,999

Sony Xperia Ion, announced at the Consumer Electronics Show this year, is now available in India. It is available for Rs. 35,999 online via online retailer Snapdeal.com. Another online retailer Univercell.in has also listed the Xperia Ion at a price of Rs 30,000.

This smartphone was originally announced it black and white color options but it is available in red and black for Indian users.

The new Xperia Ion has a 4.6 inch scratch resistant TFT touchscreen Reality Display (with 1280 x 720 pixel native resolution.) with Mobile Bravia engine. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm processor with 1GB RAM under the hood. This processor is coupled with Adreno 220 graphics that are good enough to run the most recent mobile games.

Sony Xperia Ion is play station certified device and can therefore run the legacy games with on-screen control buttons.

This device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system and comes with 16 GB internal Storage. Internal storage is expandable upto 32 GB via microSd cards.

Sony Xperia Ion also features 12 megapixel auto focus camera with 1080p video support. It also has a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera for video calls with 720p video.

It also features Near Field Communication support and will be compatible with Sony SmartTags. Xperia Ion also comes with social media integration, Bluetooth, stereo FM radio, multiple format support for audio and video and 3D and motion gaming.

For better battery backup, it is packed with 1900 mAh battery to power the device.
