Yesterday, Facebook has rolled out new look for messages. This new look looks better than previous. Facebook calls it bringing message to life.

Facebook’s new message page uses two column layout. You will see all your friends at the left side of the page, sorted by the date of the last message.  It also shows profile picture at the left side along with the name and location. At the right side, it shows unread conversation. It also shows photo thumbnails and emoticons in better way.

Now, it is easier to switch among messages. You do not need to go back to messages. You can select friends from the left side of the page to go to the conversation.

Now you can also search messages by sender and keywords from the main message view.

Facebook has also added keyboard shortcuts for faster access of messages. But it has not revealed any keyboard shortcut in announcement. It has only written that press Alt Q on a PC or Control Q on a Mac to get list of keyboard shortcuts.

It is not confirmed when this new message page will roll out. I am not able to see any changes but post says that Facebook is introducing the new features today.
