If you think that Amazon’s cloud storage service is too costly, now you have another option. Amazon has now announced a new low-price cloud storage service called Glacier.

Glacier is designed for the customers with small budget and need. It offers customers to store data for $0.04 per GB in a month. Amazon also claims to deliver average annual durability of 99.999999999% for each item stored. It means your files will always stay safe in their data centers.

Amazon Glacier is now live and available for consumers and business. But there is no app of tool is available to transfer files to the amazon cloud. But Cloud Gates has announced to add support for Glacier this week. If you want to use Amazon Glacier, you will have to wait for your favourite backup/file-transfer application adds support for Amazon Glacier service.

Amazon Glacier is ideal as a backup archive solution as it is very secure and durable storage. Amazon Glacier is available in the US-East (N. Virginia), US-West (N.
